FinaMetricaPro Pricing

We have been pleased to offer FinaMetricaPro, the MoneyGuidePro version of FinaMetrica Risk Profiling software, to our users for the past five (5) years. In addition to being well-integrated into MGP, the Pro version also includes enhanced report features not available anywhere else.

Since we began offering FinaMetricaPro five (5) years ago, for a $300 annual license fee, we have not had any price increase, even though FinaMetrica itself has raised its prices several times for its direct version. The current FinaMetrica direct price is $890 per year. Effective February 1, 2011 we will be increasing our price for FinaMetricaPro to $495 per year, which is a 44% discount.

End of Year Tip

Did you know that MoneyGuidePro uses a rolling plan year?

MoneyGuidePro uses a Rolling Plan Year rather than a Calendar Year. Each time you run a plan, the current date begins the plan year and it rolls forward for 365 days. For example, if you create a plan on November 1, 2010 the first plan year, represented as 2010, would be 11/1/10 through 10/31/11.

Rolling Plan Year is beneficial because it eliminates the need to prorate numerous variables (e.g., asset additions, goal amounts, and taxes) for the first and last year of the plan. It is especially important to remember that MoneyGuidePro uses a Rolling Plan Year when reviewing plans at the end of the calendar year, because you will see full annual additions and goal values. If you are running a plan one or two months before your clients are retiring, you might consider entering them in the Program as retired, since they will spend most of the first plan year in retirement.
